President Bola Tinubu has described members of opposition parties in the country as reactionary politicians.
Speaking Wednesday in Akure at the campaign rally for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the APC governorship candidate for Saturday’s election, Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, questioned whether any former governors of Ondo State, living or deceased, would support a ‘reactionary party
He emphasized that a vote for APC would signify progress and guarantee the continuation of development already underway in the South-West region.
Tinubu further asked, “If Ajasin were still alive, would he vote for the APC or a reactionary party? If Akeredolu were alive, would he vote for APC or a reactionary party? Would Mimiko vote for APC or a reactionary party?”
He urged the supporters to vote for APC, stating that it would ensure the continued progress of the state.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, speaking at the event, pledged loyalty to his former boss, the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, and assured the people of Ondo that he would do more for the state’s progress.
Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, expressed confidence in the party’s victory, stating they would win in all 18 local government areas of the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Chairman of the APC Campaign Council for Ondo, called on supporters to express their support through their votes, not by fighting with the opposition, and assured victory for APC.
