Nigerian music icon Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy from the legendary P-Square duo, has sparked online discussions with his latest advice to Nigerians.
Sharing his thoughts via the Insta-stories of his verified Instagram account, Rudeboy underscored the importance of owning a home as a crucial step toward achieving financial independence.
The singer, who recently celebrated the arrival of his child with his wife, Ivy Ifeoma, pointed out that avoiding rent is key to attaining lifelong freedom. He encouraged his followers to prioritize home ownership, regardless of the property’s size or location, emphasizing that stability and independence matter most.
“No matter what you do in life, work hard to avoid RENT!! That’s a lifetime freedom. Get yours … it doesn’t matter where or the location,” he wrote.
Rudeboy also highlighted the drawbacks of rental housing, citing issues such as disrespect and over-familiarity from landlords. “The fear of landlords is the beginning of disrespect and see-finish. GET YOURS!! That will be the beginning of your FINANCIAL FREEDOM,” he added.
