Samsung’s First Sub- 5G Smartphone, the Galaxy F06 5G.

In India, Samsung’s most reasonably priced 5G smartphone is the Galaxy F06 5G. As a major statement from Samsung, the introductory price maintains it under Rs. 10,000. For OEMs, this market segment is regarded as mass market, and it should generate revenue for the business. The good news is that Samsung has included every feature that a modern smartphone in this price range should have.

Gadgets 360 had the opportunity to speak with Akshay S. Rao, General Manager, MX Business, Samsung India, during the Galaxy F06 5G launch. We were interested in the market input that Samsung got before releasing the F06 5G smartphone. “At its core, we’ve always held the opinion that we don’t want to place our customers in a position where they have to make compromises on necessities, correct? I mean, when we looked at what a customer needs in a 5G phone, the first thing I would anticipate is full 5G support. We don’t want to alienate any audience members who don’t feel pressured to alter their typical behaviour. That, in my opinion, is the main reason we wanted to provide complete 5G network support. Thus, all telecom operators, including carrier aggregation, are supported by SA and NSA,” he clarified.

“We looked into the design, and Samsung has the strength in R&D, and all of that has gone into giving this product a full 5G experience,” he added. This was one of the comments made by customers, particularly young customers, who are essentially the target market for this price range. In other words, Indian consumers have a lot of goals. Even if 5G phones are widely available, consumers still prefer high-end devices since they are the ideal addition to their lifestyle. At the heart of it all is the consumer interactions and feedback, which is where you’ll find the ripple, low design, shimmer, and colour selections.

Rao then discussed how to set the price correctly. “A smartphone with 4GB and 128GB at Rs. 9,499 seems like a complete kit with no sacrifices. Due to extensive customer feedback, we are extremely confident about the costs. When the moment is right, we want to launch items with the complete package, and I believe we want to listen,” he continued.

The only phone in its price range with four years of software support is the Galaxy F06 5G. When no other competitors are providing this in an even higher price range, people wonder how Samsung came up with this concept. Rao stated, “You are aware of Samsung’s strength in research and development in India. We have several centres here that are focused on localising, customising, and optimising devices for India. Thus, it goes without saying that the ecosystem as a whole aids in the production of goods like these. As you can see, when no one was committing to OS upgrades, we were attempting to push the envelope at every pricing range. However, this one, in my opinion, is yet another example of our R&D prowess and the type of ecosystem we have in which we do not want to take short cuts and recognise that customers keep their gadgets for a considerable amount of time, or perhaps even pass them down within the family, allowing someone else to use them. Since four OS upgrades and four years of security updates are standard, we don’t want customers to be trapped with a phone that isn’t keeping up with the times after a year. Our promise to customers is that they don’t have to worry about it. The gadget will support you if you wish to utilise it for that long.

For a while now, Samsung has been promoting some intriguing gadgets with its Galaxy F line. A voice focus function was available on the Galaxy F23 5G, a sAMOLED display was available on the Galaxy F15, a vegan leather design was available on the Galaxy F55, and a huge 7000mAh battery was available on the Galaxy F62.
