Manchester United is reportedly finalizing a deal to appoint Ruben Amorim as their new manager following Erik ten Hag’s dismissal.
Amorim quickly emerged as the club’s top choice, and Sporting CP confirmed that United intends to activate his €10 million (£8.3 million) release clause.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United will not only pay the release clause but also provide additional compensation to facilitate the inclusion of Amorim’s preferred backroom staff.
However, Portuguese outlets Record and A BOLA have indicated that while the final payment is still pending, there are no major obstacles remaining in United’s pursuit of securing Amorim’s signature.
