WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow users to create custom sticker packs, enhancing the organization and sharing of stickers on the platform.
Currently, users can only save custom stickers in a disorganized section called Favourites. The new feature aims to streamline this by enabling users to create and name their sticker packs.
Details of the Feature:
- Creation Process: When users tap on a sticker, a new option labeled Add to sticker pack will appear alongside existing options like Add to Favourites and Edit sticker. Selecting this option prompts a dialog box where users can enter a name for their sticker pack.
- Saving Packs: After naming the pack, users can save it, making it accessible from the sticker selection menu in WhatsApp.
- Sharing Options: Users can also share their custom sticker packs with others. A three-dot menu next to each pack will provide options to Send or Remove the pack.
This feature was spotted by WABetaInfo in the WhatsApp beta for Android update 2.24.22.13.
Although currently in development, it promises to improve the user experience by allowing better organization of stickers without cluttering the Favourites section.
Beta testers may have access to this feature in future updates as development progresses.
