Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo has officially sworn in the newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen of the 21 local government areas, urging them to commit to serving their constituents effectively. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the government house in Lokoja.
In a statement from his Special Adviser on media and publicity, Ismaila Isah, the governor emphasized the importance of grassroots development. He instructed the new chairmen to initiate projects and programs that will enhance the well-being of the community.
Ododo highlighted the necessity for the chairmen to prioritize the security of lives and property and to align their efforts with the administration’s signature initiatives in health, agriculture, social welfare, and empowerment.
He stated, “You must see your election as an opportunity to justify the autonomy of the local government administration by prioritizing matters that have a direct positive impact on the lives of the people at the grassroots.”
