According to a report, LinkedIn has stopped showing AI suggestions.
AI prompts on LinkedIn are allegedly being removed. Premium customers’ feeds would include AI prompts encouraging them to utilise the service’s AI capabilities. According to some customers, these prompts have been absent from the site for a time. According to reports, the corporation has reduced these prompts without explaining why. Earlier this month, a report suggested that the social media platform was training its AI models on user data without warning.
LinkedIn reduces premium user AI prompts
LinkedIn secretly removes AI prompt ideas in the feed that Premium members commonly noticed, according to Fast Company. These prompts displayed underneath every post and offered AI query topics. This was like Meta’s Facebook function.
These reminders have apparently become less visible. LinkedIn spokeswoman Suzi Owens told the magazine that the business was scaling down certain AI recommendations, but not due to user dissatisfaction or a bad view of the AI capabilities.
“Our members can continue using AI-powered tools on the jobs homepage to gain personalized insights, such as how to build a network, position themselves for a job, or learn about a company,” the spokesperson said.
Users complained that these reminders flooded their feed and were unhelpful. These ideas encouraged customers to use the company’s November 2023 AI features. LinkedIn has no option to disable these prompts.
The Microsoft-owned site was criticised for training AI models without alerting users. Several users discovered a setting to disable data gathering for AI model training. Soon later, the corporation changed its policy to gather user data.
