DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Launched with Low-Light 4K 60FPS Video Recording and 4-Hour Battery Life
DJI says the Osmo Action 5 Pro is the first action camera with subject centring and tracking.
Thursday saw the worldwide introduction of DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. It has professional camera-rivaling features like a 13.5-stop dynamic range, 4K low-light video recording at 60 fps, AI-powered noise reduction, and up to 3.6 hours of battery life at -20 degrees Celsius. It also has stabilisation functions for video recording without a gimbal.
Cost
DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Standard Combo costs $349 (Rs. 29,000). The $449 Osmo Action 5 Pro Adventure Combo is also available.
The device is sold on the brand website and via approved retailers.

This new device has a 1/1.3-inch sensor with 2.4-micrometre pixels and a 13.5-stop dynamic range. Its 10-bit D-Log M picture capture improves post-production flexibility and colour grading. HLG high-brightness screens are supported by the action camera.
DJI claims the Osmo Action 5 Pro can record 4K 60fps low-light movies without overexposing highlights thanks to its enhancements. SuperNight mode and AI noise reduction enhance action camera video quality. Live images capture 3-second clips that can transform into dynamic photos.
DJI says the Osmo Action 5 Pro is the first action camera with subject centring and tracking. Action cameras may automatically recognise the subject’s location and alter frame composition using these characteristics. It has 47GB of storage and a 4nm microprocessor with machine-learning algorithms. The action camera can upload 80MB per second over Wi-Fi 6.0 or USB 3.0. This variant has bigger front and back tempered glass touchscreen OLED screens than the previous generation.
Action cameras like the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro may be used underwater up to 20 meters without a case. A pressure gauge that records underwater depth, duration, and altitude adds safety.
DJI claims its latest action camera can last four hours on a 1,950mAh charge. In -20°C conditions, it can capture 3.6 hours of video. DJI 30W USB Type-C chargers charge action cameras.
