Nigerian music star Davido has praised the democratic system in the United States, highlighting its dedication to free and fair elections as a stark contrast to Nigeria’s political environment.
In an interview on ‘The Morning Hustle,’ Davido applauded the U.S. electoral process, citing the recent presidential election as a true example of democracy.
He shared that he voted for Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party candidate, motivated by the prospect of witnessing the first female U.S. president.
Although Harris did not win, Davido appreciated the process for amplifying the people’s voice.
He also congratulated President-elect Donald Trump, stressing the importance of respecting the outcome of a fair election, even when one supports the opposing side.
