Comrade Akinteye Babatunde, Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), extended his congratulations to Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for his retention in the recent cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Babatunde praised Tunji-Ojo’s tenure as proof of his strong leadership and innovative reforms that have transformed the Ministry of Interior.
Babatunde highlighted Tunji-Ojo’s commitment to improving service delivery, noting the launch of an online passport application platform that has streamlined passport services and significantly reduced delays for Nigerians nationwide.
He also commended the minister’s initiatives within the correctional system, which have shifted facilities from mere detention centers to institutions of reform and rehabilitation, helping individuals rebuild their lives.
The NANS Senate President described Tunji-Ojo’s impact as going beyond traditional leadership, stressing that his “visionary approach” and “relentless pursuit of excellence” have strengthened national security and renewed public confidence in the Ministry.
