The OnePlus 13 is set to launch in October 2024, confirmed by OnePlus China President Louis Lee in a Weibo post.
This highly anticipated release will debut in China first, with a global launch expected later in the year. Lee teased a major performance boost for the OnePlus 13, crediting the latest Snapdragon chipset, potentially the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, for the improvements.
The OnePlus 13 will run on ColorOS 15, Oppo’s Android-based operating system, marking a shift away from the slightly modified OxygenOS used globally. Lee emphasized that the Snapdragon flagship chip will bring significant advancements in performance and fluency, setting new benchmarks for Android devices.
The new ColorOS 15 will also introduce the Tidal Engine and Aurora Engine, which promise faster performance and smoother animations, although India may not receive this version of the OS on the OnePlus 13.
