Nigerian man steals an EFCC vehicle

A Nigerian man stole an EFCC vehicle, fled, and became a wanted person. Authorities disclosed his most recent address.

On Friday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced that it is seeking Ibrahim Mohammed, 26, in connection with the alleged theft of a vehicle belonging to the anti-graft agency.

According to a statement from EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, Mohammed, an indigene of Jada Local Government Area in Adamawa State, faces accusations of unlawfully possessing and hijacking the commission’s vehicle.

The statement said that the EFCC is seeking Ibrahim Mohammed in connection with the alleged illicit possession and theft of the EFCC’s vehicle.

Authorities have encouraged individuals to contact the commission’s offices nationwide if they have any information about Mohammed’s whereabouts.

The EFCC underscored the urgency of the situation by offering a direct phone line and an email address as avenues for information.

Mohammed’s most recent known location was 56 Japa Bariki Road, Adamawa State. The EFCC has requested public assistance in locating him and has directed potential informants to its offices in key cities, such as Lagos, Ibadan, and Abuja.

The EFCC plans to intensify efforts to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen vehicle.
