The company scheduled a hardware launch event on August 13 to introduce the Pixel 9 Pro XL. It has started teasing its upcoming smartphones, but leaks have revealed their features and designs multiple times, leaving little to the imagination before the presentation. A leaker has revealed the look and specs of the new smartphone, the biggest Pixel 9 smartphone.
Leaked Specs
X (previously Twitter) user Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin) revealed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL would include a Tensor G4 processor and 16GB of RAM. The source says the phone will have 128GB of storage and 1TB of storage.
The user believes the Pixel 9 Pro XL will include a 6.8-inch (1,344×2,992 pixels) OLED screen with 3,000 nits and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The screen may also include a 42-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Three rear cameras—a 50-megapixel camera (f/1.68), a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (f/1.7), and a 48-megapixel zoom camera with 5x optical zoom—will capture photographs and movies on the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
The smartphone will ship with Android 14 and be upgraded to Android 15. The source said the phone will cost $1,099 (Rs. 92,300).
Leaked Design, Features
A pink Pixel 9 Pro XL live picture reveals a flat panel and selfie camera hole punch. A second shot provided by the tipster shows the camera interface with up to 10x hybrid zoom, while another shows the back panel with the horizontal camera bar housing the triple rear cameras.
The tipster revealed photographs of Google’s Reimagine on-device AI functionality. It may convert a road surrounded by high ground into a water body with modest waves. However, the modified picture is hazy, making it hard to assess its quality. Google’s August 13 presentation will unveil Pixel 9 AI capabilities.
