Take-2: GTA 6, Other New Games to Increase Bookings in Next 2 Fiscal Years

The New York-based company’s shares gained almost 5% in extended trade.

Take-Two Interactive Software anticipates net bookings to rise in fiscal years 2026 and 2027 as it prepares for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6)next year.

The New York-based company’s shares gained almost 5% in extended trade.

Since its launch in the late 1990s, Grand Theft Auto has earned Take-Two billions of dollars.

In May, the business restricted the release of GTA VI to autumn 2025, laying the groundwork for the next chapter of one of the most successful video game series.

Grand Theft Auto V, one of the most lucrative videogames, sold over 200 million sales.

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter expects GTA VI to drive booking growth over the next two fiscal years.

May saw Take-Two announce it will create 40 games until fiscal 2027.

The business anticipated second-quarter bookings below analysts’ projections due to lackluster in-game spending on live-service games and inflationary pressures.

It forecasts second-quarter bookings to be between $1.42 billion (Rs. 11,921 crore) and $1.47 billion (Rs. 12,341 crore), while analysts predict $1.47 billion.

Take-Two reported a drop in GTA Online recurring consumer expenditure in the first quarter, suggesting that player engagement rates may be declining after years of expansion.

First-quarter bookings were $1.22 billion (Rs. 10,242 crore), below projections of $1.25 billion.

The business also stated the videogame performers strike did not affect products in production, repeating Electronic Arts last week.

Take-Two surprised analysts with a 5 cent per share adjusted profit, beating expectations of a 2 cent loss.
