In India, Vivo V40 Pro and V40 are the newest V series smartphones from the Chinese electronics firm. They have 50-megapixel front cameras and improve on the Vivo V30 series. The Vivo V40 Pro uses a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor, whereas the normal model has Snapdragon7 Gen 3. Vivo V40s include Zeiss rear cameras and 5,500mAh batteries with 80W rapid charging.

The 8GB + 256GB Vivo V40 Pro costs Rs. 49,999, while the 12GB + 512GB edition costs Rs. 55,999. It comes in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey. August 13 is the confirmed release date.
The 8GB + 128GB RAM/storage Vivo V40 costs Rs. 34,999. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB RAM models cost Rs. 36,999 and Rs. 41,999, respectively. It will be sold on August 19 in Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey.

Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 powers the V40 Pro and V40. They have a glass body and a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,260×2,800 pixels) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500nits peak brightness. A 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ CPU, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage power the V40 Pro. The 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon7 Gen 3 SoC in the Vivo V40 supports up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Zeiss triple rear cameras with Aura Light flash are on the Vivo V40 Pro. The camera system has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main sensor with autofocus and OIS, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto portrait sensor with 2x optical and 50x digital zoom.
Zeiss-co-engineered Vivo V40 rear cameras include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and AF and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera. Both phones include 50-megapixel front cameras for pictures and video conversations.
Vivo V40 series phones include 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C. It has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. They show a fingerprint scanner for authentication. Dust and water-resistant IP68 ratings are claimed for both phones.
The V40 and V40 Pro have 5,500mAh batteries and 80W wired fast charging. Pro weighs 192 grams and measures 164.3×75.1×7.5mm. Standard model weighs 190 grams and measures 164×74.9×7.5mm.
