Honor Magic 6 Pro on BIS Website Suggests India Launch

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is expected to be released in India, about seven months after its initial introduction in China. Honor has not yet officially confirmed the debut of the new Magic series phone in the nation. However, reports suggest that the smartphone has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, indicating an imminent release in India. The Chinese version of the Honor Magic 6 Pro operates on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 System-on-a-Chip (SoC). The device features a triple back camera setup, with the main camera boasting a resolution of 180 megapixels.
According to TheTechOutlook, the BIS website has listed a smartphone from Honor with the model number BVL-N49. The advertisement does not disclose the phone’s name or other details, but this model number corresponds to the Honor Magic 6 Pro, which has been available for purchase in China since January of this year. Screenshots from the newspaper show that the BIS issued certification on July 10. This development suggests that the phone could soon debut in the Indian market.
The Amazon India website previously featured the Honor Magic 6 Pro, detailing its design, RAM, storage options, and other features. The Indian version of the phone is expected to mirror its Chinese counterpart in terms of these characteristics. Additionally, Honor Mauritius has previewed on its social media platform that it will imminently introduce the phone in the nation.

The starting price of the Honor Magic 6 Pro is CNY 5,699 (about Rs. 65,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB basic model, and it increases to CNY 6,699 (approximately Rs. 77,000) for the 16GB RAM + 1TB variant.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro operates on MagicOS 8.0, a user interface built on top of Android 14. It has a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,280×2,800 pixels, offering a full-HD+ experience. The display also includes an adjustable refresh rate that can vary between 1Hz and 120Hz. The device is equipped with Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 System-on-a-Chip (SoC). The gadget has a triple back camera configuration consisting of a 180-megapixel 2.5x periscope camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Located on the front side, there is a wide-angle camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro model is supported by a 5,600mAh battery and has an IP68 classification, indicating its ability to withstand dust and water.
