Over the next few weeks, Discord voice chat will get easier.
Recently, we’ve worked with Discord to give players more options to connect with their friends and communities on Discord and PS5. Since we released Discord voice chat on PS5, gamers have joined over 290 million times to talk with pals in Discord voice channels while gaming.
We’re excited to announce that PS5 gamers can now join Discord voice chat directly from the console, without using the Discord PC or mobile apps.
Join PS5 Discord voice chat
First, choose the Discord tab in Game Base in the PS5 Control Center and choose the server or DM group you want to join. Choose your favourite voice channel. This will show who is conversing in the channel. When another Discord user calls, you’ll get a PS5 console notification to join immediately.
This update will make joining Discord conversations with other gamers faster than before. Japanese/Asian players will be the first to receive it, followed by European, Australian/New Zealand, Middle Eastern, and American players in the coming weeks.

Profile Share launches next week.
You can also share your PlayStation Network profile on any messaging or social app starting next week. Start by selecting “Share Profile” from the PlayStation App or PS5 console to create a link or QR code. Once signed in to PlayStation Network, the recipient can add you as a friend when they open the link:
