At WWDC 2024, Apple released a flurry of software updates to highlight AI, or “Apple Intelligence,” in iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
After Samsung and Google introduced AI on phones, Apple is trying to make smartphones, tablets, and laptops “smarter” by adding its own AI.
If you woke up looking for a big hardware announcement or even a hint of a new phone or Mac design, go back to your cave and hibernate until the next big Apple showcase. In most user-end apps, Apple Intelligence will provide automatic summaries and AI-enhanced photo editing. Apple will make ChatGPT available on the newer iPhones without the software.
There are some exciting updates for non-AI fans. iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 will bring long-awaited features. The iPhone lock screen update lets users move widgets and icons. Messenger will finally support RCS with an upgrade. Eliminate green bubbles forever.
