President Bola Tinubu praised the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited for revitalising the Port Harcourt Refinery on Tuesday.
Tinubu also asked the company to speed up the reactivation of the second Port Harcourt refinery, Warri, and Kaduna.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, told journalists.
«President Tinubu welcomes Port Harcourt refinery rebirth and instructs NNPC Limited to swiftly reopen Warri and Kaduna refineries.
Onanuga added, “The President acknowledges the pivotal role of former President Muhammadu Buhari in initiating the comprehensive rehabilitation of all our refineries and thanks the African Export-Import Bank for financing this critical project.
Additionally, President Tinubu commends NNPC Limited’s Group CEO, Mr. Mele Kyari, whose unrelenting passion and commitment helped overcome hurdles to reach this milestone.
With the successful resurrection of the Port Harcourt refinery, President Tinubu asks NNPC Limited to expedite the scheduled reactivation of the second refinery and the Warri and Kaduna refineries.
