Mosh Pharmacy & Supermarket opened its sixth location in Ibadan’s Odogbo Barracks over the weekend, celebrating persistence and triumph over adversity.
The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, who presided over the event, praised the CEO, Mrs. Olubukola Abiola Peller, for her extraordinary commitment and bravery in running the firm for 20 years.
Adelabu lauded her steadfast dedication, calling the milestone a testament to her vision and determination.
“She has done a lot in contributing to the economy of this nation by creating jobs for people and by the nature of her business; health is wealth,” he replied. “She is an inspiration to young people,” she said.
During the launch of the store in the Mammy Market area of Odogbo Barracks, Mrs. Abiola Peller stated, “Today marks a critical milestone in Mosh Pharmacy’s journey.
I am honoured to be here today to commemorate the launch of our sixth branch. This moment is more than just a celebration of our growth; it is a tribute to the tenacity, hard work, and unwavering support that have defined our journey over the last two decades.”
She continued, “As I reflect on our trip, I am reminded of the pivotal role my late father, Professor L.A Oladosu of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan, played in moulding my destiny.
His advice, expertise, and unfailing support established me in the pharmacy profession. He instilled in me the desire to strive for excellence and be resilient.
“Mosh started in a modest room in Bashorun, Ibadan, where we experienced numerous hurdles while sourcing products and developing our concept. Those early days were difficult, with late evenings and hard-earned lessons. Nonetheless, with perseverance and faith, we turned difficulties into possibilities.
“By God’s help, we relocated to our main branch Mosh House in Bodija, then to Ile-Tuntun, Ace Mall, and finally to our City View branch and Iseyin.
“Every step was guided by our dedication to serving our community with integrity and compassion. We made a brave move a few months ago when we launched our premium water line, with the goal of providing clean, high-quality water at reasonable rates.
“Today, as we open this new branch, we reinforce our mission: to improve our community’s health and well-being through exceptional service and high-quality products.” I’d want to take a moment to convey my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us during this trip.”
When asked how she handles several branches effortlessly, Mrs. Abiola Peller thanked technology for making operations easier.
She demonstrated how digital tools allow her and the management team to operate remotely while remaining accountable and producing excellent results.
She advised aspiring entrepreneurs to “never give up.” The current economic climate may be difficult, but patience is essential. With determination and regular effort, students can overcome obstacles and lay a firm foundation for success.”
