The 16th Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) took center stage on Sunday night in Ilorin, Kwara State, celebrating excellence in Nigerian cinema.
Femi Adebayo’s epic Yoruba Netflix Original, Jagun Jagun, emerged as one of the evening’s biggest winners, taking home six awards.
The film, which led the night with 12 nominations, won accolades for Best Indigenous Film, Best Actor (Femi Adebayo), Best Production Design, Best Special Effects, Best Costume, and Director of the Year, a recognition shared by Bayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo.
The glamorous event, held at the Sugar Factory Film Studios, was hosted by renowned actress Toyin Abraham and featured appearances from Nollywood’s finest.
Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Kwara State Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, alongside Aare Abisoye Fagade, Director-General of the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism.
The night reinforced Nollywood’s creative excellence while spotlighting the industry’s rising and enduring talents.
