The Oyo State Civil Service Commission has shortlisted 15,000 applicants for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of its recruitment drive. The shortlisted candidates, representing 67% of the 22,235 applications received, met all the qualifications outlined in the state civil service scheme.

Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, emphasized that this recruitment is unprecedented, marking the first time in two decades that such a comprehensive recruitment has been conducted. Previously, recruitments were limited to specific cadres.
Past Recruitment Highlights:
- In 2020, the Makinde administration recruited:
- 60 Environmental Health personnel,
- 692 Education Officers,
- 30 State Counsel, and
- 19 officers for the Ministry of Lands in a recent exercise.
Aderibigbe stated that the parameters for qualification were based on criteria outlined in the Commission’s advertisement published in the Tribune on October 7, 2024. He expressed confidence that the current exercise would strengthen the civil service workforce and contribute to the state’s development.
