The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) in Libya has deported 13 individuals, including seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis, and three Ghanaians, from the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre. The deportees were flown out of Libya via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
The DCIM confirmed that the deportation followed violations of Libyan law by the individuals. The department shared the news in a statement posted on their X handle on Tuesday, specifying that the deportees had breached laws in force within the Libyan state.
