On August 14, Realme will unveil its fast charging technology at the 828 Fan Festival.
Realme will also display AI, performance, and imaging technologies under development.
Realme said Thursday that its next unique rapid charging technology would debut on August 14. The preview is slated for August 13-15 at Realme’s 828 Fan Fest in Shenzhen, China. The statement may be connected to 300W rapid charging, which Realme Global Marketing Director Francis Wong confirmed in June.
Realme Fast Charging Announced
Realme will also reveal four patented technologies that helped it build its current rapid charging technology: charging power, battery technology, converter compact, and power reduction design. They will introduce the technology at its offices, along with additional demos of under-development innovations in AI, performance, and photography to improve smartphone experiences.
This follows Wong’s confirmation of 300W rapid charging technology. Rumor has it that it can charge a smartphone battery from 0% to 100% in five minutes. The Realme GT Neo 5, available only in China, features 240W rapid charging to charge its 4,600mAh battery from 0% to 50% in four minutes and 100% in less than ten minutes.
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi debuted a similar 300W charging technology in February, charging a customized Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition’s 4,100mAh battery in five minutes. This “300W Immortal Second Charger” technology is not yet in mass-market cellphones.
Along with its newest rapid charging technology, Realme may launch the GT 7 Pro. It will ship in India in the second half of 2024 and may be one of the first phones to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 CPU.
